Community Purpose
There are no women centers, Girl Scouts, or YWCA's on St. John. However, we have Sisterhood Agenda to serve the unique needs of women and girls. A land parcel in Cruz Bay has been secured for the Sisterhood Empowerment Academy (SEA), an eco-friendly resource center.

The SEA consists of 1,680 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting spaces with a multi-media center, and library. The facility includes organic fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens with ocean views.

The local environment and market in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands (aka Love City) supports the highest and best use of a land parcel in Cruz Bay as Sisterhood Agenda’s Sisterhood Empowerment Academy (SEA).

Empowerment is a process by which people, organizations, and communities gain mastery over issues of concern to them. Inspired by Mother Nature, the Sisterhood Empowerment Academy (SEA) empowers women and girls as a female resource center: a place of knowledge, support, self-determination, and healing.

Sisterhood is a place to be, a place to be loved in, and a place to love.

*Sisterhood Agenda is the fiscal sponsor for the St. John Youth Coalition and the SEA will also serve as the coalition's headquarters.
